Ultracool Ultrasound Sonogram Idea

Friday, July 31st, 2009

As a parent I never forget the first time I saw our child, it was via an Ultrasound Sonogram machine. Albeit the image wasn’t the best, it was in fact our baby in her mothers womb just waiting for her big debut.

Much to our delight the nurse offered to print out a copy of the picture for us. Years later we still have that image tucked away in our “Baby’s First Year” album, that is until recently.

Not too long ago I had a customer come in with a copy of an ultrasound sonogram of their baby and a current photo of the same child now 18 months or so old. She asked whether or not these to images would work as a Magic Picture and I replied: “Of course! It works using any to photos!”

Wow! What an effect! It was so cool that I asked her if we could display a copy in our showroom. She said she would be honored! Everyone who sees this combination compliments it an claims it is the coolest, and perhaps the only thing they have ever seen done with an ultrasound sonogram print.

Here is what the picture looks like:

You have seen where we take photos and make a Magic Picture that transitions between the two images. Did you know that we can add or remove people to/from your pictures as well?

Take this newlywed couple for instance. The parents wanted to provide them a unique wedding gift. They have the engagement photo that was submitted to the newspaper, but that is about it. I suggested that they also bring a single photo of each of them when they were young.

We then pose the two young photos together to make them appear as if they knew each other when they were children. We then mix in the engagement photo and suddley you have a one of a kind wedding present!

“Horse to Harley” starts trend.

Our showroom at The Hartville Marketplace is packed with example Magic Pictures, over 100 in fact, but one really seems to catch the attention of all who pass. We have nicknamed it “Horsepower”.

It is a picture of my father as a child sitting on a pony. It then transitions to him all grown up sitting on his Harley Davidson. Turns out, there are alot of motorcyclists who apparently have a photo of themselves perched upon a pony! The story is there used to be a fellow who went door-to-door with his pony and a camera and for $1 you could have your picture taken with him. I guess he got around!

I mention this because in the past couple of months I have made a dozen or so Magic Pictures that feature this same combination.

So I thought I would share it with you:
